The Prémio MAPA digital media festival took place at the Reitoria of the University of Porto. We were invited to conduct a two GPS drawing workshops along with an artists talk and an exhibition.

We had a full day of drawing of on Matosinhos beach where we scribbled with satellitles and sand. Then on the following day had another group for a few hours to engage in GPS mapping the area around the university. The results from both workshops show a great range of experimentation and humor from the participants.
The events were a success due a great team at MAPA, and for the tremendous work and hospitality of Carlos Oliveira from the School of Engineering, UP. FNAC Santa Catarina in Porto kindly sponsored the GPS receivers. The same bookstore showcased Wood's and Pryor’s work in the exhibition 'Drawing with Satellites' curated by Ana Boa-Ventura.
